Match report 14/04/18

Swansea 1- Bridgend 2
Bridgend seconds travelled to Swansea for their last game of the season. The game started and it was evenly matched from the get go, both Swansea and Bridgend building up attacks for shots on goal.
In the first half, Swansea were upgrading shots for short corners which gave Bridgend to display their amazing defence- Freya Johnson was awarded MOTM for her fantastic skills and praise has to go to the backs of Skipper Liz Pearce, Cerys Richards, Aimee Fitzgerald, Pauline Harrison and Bev Sainsburys.
Second half Bridgend put their foot on the gas, Jess Pearce, Kate Zelinski and Charlie Morris worked tirelessly to get the ball up to Chessie Jarvis, Maia Riley, Tania Harrison and Angharad Kitchener. The girls created lots of chances and upgraded numerous short corners, at one point 3 shorts in a row, a goal was building for the girls and eventually after Tania Harrison ran the J, Maia Riley was able to receive the ball and slot it in the goal for Bridgend’s first goal.
Closely followed by a neat goal from Tania Harrison. Swansea responsed with a goal shortly after and with 10 minutes left the Bridgend girls maintain composure and  their form and won the game! It was a fantastic display of hockey with amazing team spirit and effort.
