Bridgend Hockey Open Day

With the London 2012 Olympics fast approaching, Bridgend Hockey have  linked up with the Welsh governing body for the sport – Hockey Wales to arrange two forthcoming Hockey Open Days at Pencoed Comprehensive School, aimed at players of all ages, experience and skill levels.

The first Open Day is taking place on Saturday 21st July from 12 – 4pm, with the second event occurring on Saturday 1st September from 10 – 2pm. There will be various opportunities to allow you to start, test or develop your hockey skills, including the Hockey Wales Speed Test, Inflatable Pitch, Refreshments, Fun Games and more!

Bridgend Hockey currently run 3 Senior Mens teams, 2 Senior Ladies teams, as well as various Youth sides, all with a very good social life as well as some of the best hockey available in Wales. The Mens 1st XI are currently Welsh Shield Champions, after defending the title they won in 2011, while more recently, the Mens Veterans XI won the Welsh Plate at the Welsh Veterans Championships in Swansea, held just two weeks ago, as well as returning successful from a recent tour to Prague, in the Czech Republic.
